Experience

Chapter 2

Experience

More than a decade in three roles that have merged over time: architect, BIM coordinator and data engineer. Below is my career, newest first.

Management

I gained this experience coordinating interdisciplinary projects and rolling out cross-department processes, from linear energy infrastructure projects to technologically advanced industrial developments. Requirement gathering, scheduling, stakeholder management, team leadership, product lifecycle design, and process optimisation and automation across the whole company rather than a single department.

IT and data engineering

Various AEC automation 2026

Client: Atlas Ward Polska. Coordination and implementation planning of automated generation of logistics and industrial facilities, automated data extraction and processing from 200 structural IFC models, and aggregation and analysis of data across company projects. Overseeing multiple teams working towards common goals.

Implementation consultant 2026

Client: Zoovu. Vue.js, Three.js, 3D. Implemented the Three.js library as a lightweight replacement for the existing workflow. Optimised processes and designed handling protocols for future 3D projects.

Construction data analysis 2024–2026

Python (IfcOpenShell, OpenCV, bpy), Ollama (vision models). Managed a complex data unification project across distributed construction environments. Structured multi-format data (3D models, drawings, text specifications) end to end into a central database, giving stakeholders broad business intelligence capabilities.

Spatial analysis 2023–2026

Python (QGIS, ezdxf, laspy, plotly, scipy, sktime, skforecast), various web APIs. Automation for renewable energy projects: wind turbines, PV and linear infrastructure. Parametric geometry generated from real-time and historical data (solar, weather, energy prices) to analyse future monthly profitability.

Photovoltaic controller 2022–now

Nginx, Python (FastAPI, pandas, plotly, cfgrib, scikit-learn, skforecast), JavaScript. A web service that collects and analyses energy market, weather and solar radiation data. 50–90% accuracy in predicting energy price spikes and weather-driven fluctuations.

Server management 2024

Apache, Tomcat, Maven, Nginx. Deployment automation and optimisation of custom servlet applications, Bash automation and server security hardening.

Site plan generator 2022–2024

Python (httpx), Revit API (Python, C#), QGIS API, various web APIs. A GIS-driven engine for automated 3D site plans for the design process. Algorithms for point cloud segmentation, classification and registration.

Simple Asset Manager 2019–2021

Blender, Python. A Blender add-on: an asset manager with automatic thumbnails and directory structure. UX, bug reports, versioning and cross-OS troubleshooting.

Solar Analysis 2017

Python, bpy, PIL. A Blender add-on for daylight analysis according to Polish regulations. A hybrid approach: 3D analysis and image processing baked into textures. Later ported to Revit.

BIM and construction technology

Data and Technology Specialist, BIM Expert, R&D 09.2024–now

Atlas Ward Polska Sp. z o.o., Wrocław. Python, IfcOpenShell, pandas. Optimised R&D processes, turning three-day manual operations into a three-hour verification pipeline. Led company-wide process automation and cross-functional projects between BIM and IT.

Process automation, BIM coordinator 01.2020–06.2024

Archicom Studio Projekt, Wrocław. Automated core design workflows, replacing 40 hours of weekly manual work with 10 minutes of script runs and 2 hours of verification. Introduced CI/CD into construction design.

Architect 11.2011–10.2019

Tendra Arkitektur, Reykjavík · R2 Biuro Projektów Lesław Rubik, Wrocław · Studio Architektoniczne FOLD, Wrocław. Residential, public, industrial and retail projects in Poland and Norway. Selected projects.
